As the melting pot of the Caribbean, there’s a never-ending list of amazing options on the dual-country island, from exquisite French food to classic Caribbean BBQ and refreshing seafood.

St. Martin
Kontiki
For those looking to wine, dine, and take in some sun all in one place then look no further than Kontiki. Located right on the famous Orient Beach, Kontiki’s menu features a variety of food like like bleu cheese burgers and Mahi ceviche. You can choose to sit in the restaurant or spend your day on one of their lawn chairs and soak in some vitamin D.

Sky’s The Limit
Okay, so we’re a little biased here since this one is on our tour, but this is truly a can’t miss in St. Martin. As one of the most popular lolos on the island, Sky’s the Limit is a favorite among both locals and travelers. What’s a lolo? A lolo is an open-air restaurant unique to St. Martin that serves local dishes like BBQ, Johnny cake, and fresh seafood.

Dinghy Dock
Craft beer lovers rejoice! Dinghy Dock has the largest selection of craft beer on the island, and great pub grub to match it. If you’re looking for the classic French cuisine that St. Martin is famous for keep looking, Dinghy Dock prides themselves on their ultra-casual vibe and delicious drinks. Menu favorites include fish and chips, and wings. They also have a location on the Dutch side of the island.

Le Sand
Eating at Le Sand is a feast for your eyes as much as it is a feast for your taste buds. Take in beautiful ocean views while enjoying a three-course meal or classic tapas with wine. Le Sand is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for a luxurious and relaxing dining experience by the ocean.

Sarafina’s
Sarafina’s is also featured on our tour, but we would be doing you a major disservice if we didn’t tell you about this gem. Consistently rated the best dessert in St. Martin on TripAdviosr, Sarafina’s transports you to the streets of Paris with their authentic French pastries and desserts. La Main a la Pate
While on vacation it can be hard to find a restaurant that has something that will please everyone. It’s nearly impossible to run into this problem at La Main a la Pate. From pizza to squid, and everything in between, La Main a la Pate will satisfy the pickiest of eaters and excite any foodie. Since 1984 this restaurant has established itself as a must go.

Sint Maarten
L’Escargot
Located right on Philipsburg’s historic Front Streat, L’Escargot is a classic French restaurant well loved by both locals and travelers alike. Some of our favorite things to get include their onion soup and, of course, their escargot. If you’re looking for some entertainment while you eat, then head over on Friday nights to catch their famous cabaret show.

Bamboo
Sint Marteen may be a Caribbean island with Dutch and French roots, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your fix of authentic Asian food. Bamboo is a great option for delicious sushi and sashimi. You definitely don’t want to miss their unique appetizers! The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in LA or NYC, but step outside and you’ll remember you’re in the heart of the Carribean.

Karakter
By day, Karakter is a beach lounge and bar perfect for any beachgoer looking to enjoy their day under the sun. But by night, Karakter transforms into an open air restaurant right on the beach with an unmatchable atmosphere. Listen to live music and dig your toes into the sand while trying a unique mix of foods like ratatouille, chicken cordon blue, and rack of lamb.

The Palms Restaurant
The Palms Restaurant prides itself on delivering tastes of the Caribbean with unique twists to its guests. Savor their delicious jerk chicken wraps and drunken ribs while enjoying refreshing drinks like rum punch or mojito. Just be sure to bring cash, because they won’t accept anything else!

Canoa
You have to spoil yourself every once in a while on vacation, right? Canoa is the perfect place to do just that. Thanks to their friendly service, elegant atmosphere, ocean views, and top-notch food you may be tempted to return for a second night. Try their seafood pasta, shrimp stuffed mushrooms and conch stew.

Last, but certainly not least, is Carousel Gelato. Featured on our food tour, this fun gelateria has every flavor you could want and even has a vintage carousel that for guests to take a spin.
